Happy September everyone!
Get your reading glasses out… There’s a lot to cover this month!
We hope you are gearing up for the 1st Annual Mountain Jamboree coming Saturday September 4th. We will be carpooling up to the same basic area where we camped this summer in Lost Park approx. 1 1/2 hours away from Denver. Directions to the Jamboree will go out in a separate email the beginning of next week.
If you need a ride to the Jamboree, please let Mr. Johnson know. There are cars with space available. We will leave Denver at 7:30 am and plan to return by 5:00 pm.
If you are not driving up, we will have your kids call you when we are getting back to town.
Parents! Your company is always appreciated and in fact contributes to the great Golden Archery family atmosphere, so if you are available to come… Please do!
This event will cost $35 and is due to Mr. Johnson by September 4th, 2010. (The standard multi-student discounts apply)
What to bring? As usual bring:
- Your archery equipment and notebook,
- A backpack,
- A jacket,
- Rain gear,
- Picnic lunch,
- Sunscreen,
- A hat,
- Water,
- Compass,
- Knife,
- Sword,
- Tarps kit.
Most everyone has a Golden Archery Club T-shirt – please bring or wear it the day of Jamboree. There will be club shirts for sale that day.
We will be video recording some of the things we have been working on to post on YouTube for you to show family and friends. Parents! If you’re not comfortable with this, please let Mr. Johnson know. Please keep in mind that we are always looking to act with the best interests of everyone involved. Safety first!
Additionally, this month we are holding our 2nd Annual Golden Arrow Tournament on Sunday September 26th from 10am-2pm. This is going to be a great event so practice your skills and come test them against other archers. Sign up with Mr. Johnson by September 23rd, 2010.
This Tournament will cost $25 per person (Standard multi-student discounts apply) and the tournament fee is due by September 23rd, 2010. We’re having a potluck lunch after the tournament so please bring a side to share that will help make this even more special! Golden Archery will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Please remember we have peanut allergies, so bring the labels from any ingredients you use.
The Golden Archery Pro-shop is bringing in new items more regularly. You can purchase equipment through Mr. Johnson, i.e. bows, arrows, finger guards etc… Additionally, you can get extra pieces and parts, i.e. Tarps kits, etc…
Visit The Armory (A.K.A- the Golden Archery Pro-shop) where you can see the regularly used items and their prices. New items include Golden Archery club shirts and hats, the tarps kit, and the Gil Hibben Classic throwing knife!

Please email and make sure Mr. Johnson has your most recent arrow count totals….We will be posting the Golden-Archery Total Combined Number of Arrows fired by the club on the website!
